Job Description
Airbus Customer Services invites an experienced professional to join the Operational Unit “Technical Data Support and Services”. This unit develops and delivers aircraft maintenance documentation – including Aircraft Maintenance Manuals (AMM), Troubleshooting Manuals (TSM) and Illustrated Part Catalogues (IPC) – to support airlines, MROs and lessors in safe and efficient maintenance operations.
The core mission is to deliver complete, accurate documentation from first entry into service through the entire aircraft life cycle, while managing the impact of design changes on existing documentation and providing customised solutions that reflect each aircraft’s configuration.
Key Responsibilities- Create and author technical data for AMM, IPC and TSM in accordance with specifications, quality standards, contractual commitments, configuration‑management rules and approved schedules.
- Mentor junior team members and act as a technical data specialist.
- Propose and implement process improvements across the technical data perimeter.
- Handle complex customer queries and deliver timely, accurate technical support (including during AOG situations).
- Assess aircraft design inputs – such as Mod and Mod Proposal, Service Bulletin – to determine impacts on technical documentation.
- Work closely with customer services, design offices, airlines and suppliers.
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives for technical data processes, tools and standardised ways of working.
- Maintain compliance with EASA/FAA regulation (ICA process) and EN9100 within the defined scope and perimeter.
- Respond to customer queries through TRM, meeting OTD/FTR targets.
- Integrate and manage all design criteria that affect technical data products.
- Provide technical justification for non‑integrated design criteria and manage potential impacts under the ATA Systems responsibility.
- Coordinate technical steering and monitoring with the Design Office for SDRs and DO contributions; and with subcontractors for illustration requests within a given ATA System.
- Initiate preventive and corrective actions to continuously improve products, processes and practices based on customer feedback.
- Conduct verification and validation of incoming inspection, maintenance or material procedures.
- Manage technical data and services subcontracted activities in accordance with AP2539.
- Monitor critical supplier performance and develop improvement plans.
- Aircraft Maintenance Engineering (AME) degree or equivalent Aeronautical or other Engineering degree with exposure to aircraft maintenance.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in the technical data domain, including at least 1 year in a lead role.
- Solid knowledge of aircraft systems, maintenance, and configuration management.
- Expertise in authoring AMM, IPC, and TSM documentation.
- Project management skills and proactive, organised, team‑oriented mindset.
- Excellent communication, assertiveness, and the ability to drive continuous improvement.
- Curiosity, openness to change, and commitment to integrity.
- Advanced English proficiency (mandatory).
