Experienced Mechanical Component Failure Analyst – Equipment Quality Team – Seattle, Washington

Position Responsibilities- Perform failure analyses of airplane hydraulic and/or mechanical components to determine the cause of failure.
- Emphasize bench testing skills, component disassembly, technical evaluation, precision measurement, analytical reasoning, and report writing.
- Maintain a working knowledge of airplane components, related systems, and supporting technical documentation.
- Develop test methods to replicate failure modes.
- Lead analysis teams comprising suppliers, quality, engineering, manufacturing, airline representatives, and government representatives.
- Prepare formal technical reports of investigation results for internal and/or external customers, including government agencies.
- 1+ year(s) of experience with Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA) and failure analysis.
- 3+ years of experience testing hydraulic and/or mechanical control systems.
- 1+ year(s) of experience writing technical reports.
- 1+ year(s) of experience leading multiple projects simultaneously.
- Must be able to travel 10% of the time.
- 1+ year(s) of experience with precision measurement equipment & GD&T.
- 1+ year(s) of experience working with customers in production, engineering departments, airline industry, or governmental agencies.
- 1+ year(s) of presentation experience.
Successful candidates must satisfy the company's Conflict of Interest (COI) assessment process.
