Senior Seismic Hazard Specialist

Overview

Geotech Seattle, Washington. Salary: USD 75.00 - 120.00 hourly. GEI continues to grow and is seeking a Seismic Hazard Specialist to join our West Region practice. Projects will include water, dam, levee, building, transportation, and environmental sectors.

• Support and grow the practice in the West Region by serving new and existing clients and markets while cross-selling GEI’s core business areas.
• Help coordinate business development activities within the practice by identifying key clients/markets, growth strategy, and capture strategy.
• Lead proposal efforts, maintain high visibility in the marketplace through regular client contact, participate and encourage active participation in professional organizations, and present at client and industry events.
• Exemplify commitment to technical excellence balanced with client expectations and satisfaction, and profitable project management. Serve as a technical leader and mentor.
• Participate in recruiting efforts and the integration and training of new staff.
• Contribute to strategic planning at the office, regional, and national levels.
• Provide technical leadership and senior-level oversight.
• Travel:
  Overnight travel is required, approximately 0 to 15%.

• 15+ years of progressive experience in seismic hazard assessments.
• MS in Civil, Structural, or Geotechnical Engineering or related field;
  PhD preferred.
• Seller-Doer with industry relationships, national recognition, and an entrepreneurial spirit.
• Diverse technical background with strong fundamentals in earthquake engineering and seismic hazard assessments.
• Publishing track record in seismic hazards, experience as an independent peer reviewer, knowledge of current practices and trends, and recognized for technical excellence.
• Collegial team builder with excellent interpersonal skills.
• Excellent technical report writing and communication skills.
• Willingness and ability to travel to GEI branch offices and project/client sites as required.
• Valid U.S. driver’s license.
