Position: New Product Introduction Engineer

We are supporting a confidential advanced manufacturing business specialising in additive manufacturing, precision engineering, and the development of complex metal components
. They are seeking an NPI Engineer to support the introduction of innovative products into production and help optimise manufacturing processes.

This is a hands‑on opportunity to work across New Product Introduction, manufacturing engineering, additive manufacturing, CNC integration, and process optimisation within a fast‑paced engineering environment.

Responsibilities
  • Support NPI activities for advanced manufactured components from concept through to production.
  • Optimise additive manufacturing processes, including build orientation, support strategies, and production layouts.
  • Apply Design for Manufacturing (DfM) principles to improve manufacturability and production readiness.
  • Support CNC integration, fixture design, and manufacturing process improvements.
  • Assist with post‑processing, surface treatment, and inspection optimisation.
  • Develop technical drawings, manufacturing documentation, and engineering specifications.
  • Support metrology and inspection activities using technologies such as CMM, CT scanning, and optical measurement systems.
  • Provide hands‑on technical support to production and engineering teams.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, suppliers, and external stakeholders to deliver projects.
Requirements
  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Experience in NPI, design engineering, or manufacturing engineering roles.
  • Strong CAD experience and ability to interpret technical drawings.
  • Understanding of GD&T principles and manufacturing processes.
  • Experience working with engineering data, quality processes, or continuous improvement activities.
  • Strong problem‑solving skills with a practical, hands‑on approach.
  • Background in aerospace, automotive, precision engineering, or advanced manufacturing.
  • Experience with additive manufacturing processes.
  • Knowledge of metrology and inspection techniques.
  • Experience with simulation tools such as ANSYS or Solid Works Simulation.
