Warehousing & Transportation Environmental Program Manager
Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking a talented and self-motivated Warehousing & Transportation Environmental Program Manager to support AWS Manufacturing, Test, and Operations (MOTO) facilities. The successful candidate will join the AWS Environmental team — an expanding and dynamic team that is critical to enabling AWS's growth around the world, as well as ensuring regulatory compliance and the highest-level environmental performance of AWS's warehousing and transportation operations.
This role sits within the MOTO Environmental organization and owns the Warehousing and Transportation Operations environmental compliance portfolio — a standalone pillar covering Receiving/Distribution Centers (RDCs), Multi-Function Centers (MFCs), and DC/FC facilities (DCFCs) across AMER. This is a new high-impact, ground-floor opportunity to build programs and establish compliance infrastructure from scratch. You will collaborate with people across AWS to help us deliver the highest standards of environmental performance for our warehousing and logistics facilities and our customers, and you will experience an inclusive culture that welcomes bold ideas and empowers you to own them to completion.
A critical component of this role is supporting infrastructure development through environmental programs — conducting site selection environmental assessments, supporting greenfield permitting for new facility acquisitions, and ensuring environmental compliance during facility buildout and construction phases. This individual will be a key environmental partner to real estate, facilities, and construction teams as MOTO's warehousing and transportation footprint grows.
This role is based in Herndon, VA (IAD Hub), Seattle, WA (SEA Hub), or Salt Lake City, UT (SLC warehouse).
