WTD is seeking an enthusiastic and collaborative Capital Project Manager IV to lead the University/ Montlake and other large and complex civil infrastructure projects. About

the Role

This position requires leadership of a multi-discipline team including King County staff and consultants and collaboration with many different work units within WTD, and external partners, including Seattle Public Utilities, permitting and regulatory agencies and tribal partners. To be successful, you must be able to facilitate open dialogue with a wide variety of contributors, sometimes balancing conflicts, interests, and opinions. You will be navigating the complex technical and political challenges of building a large complex project in the City of Seattle with a regulatory driven schedule.

The projects are likely to have technical elements related to tunnels, conveyance, storage tanks, pump stations, green stormwater infrastructure and stormwater treatment.

You will be expected to apply Project Management industry standards and practices in the areas of project planning, coordination, scope, budget, schedule management, monitoring and control, and reporting, as you lead diverse project teams composed of internal and consultant subject matter experts from various disciplines such as engineering, community relations, property acquisition, permitting, environmental impact, and operations and maintenance staff through the planning, design and construction of capital projects.

The CSO project teams deliver CSO infrastructure projects along the entire project life cycle: planning, alternatives evaluation, approval of the project plan, design, construction, commissioning and close-out. The teams are made up of members of many different departments and disciplines, such as engineering, permitting, project (financial / schedule) control, environmental impact, community relations and real property.
