Boeing Commercial Airplanes is seeking Manufacturing Planners to support the 777-8F program located in Everett WA. These individuals will serve as contributors to help support the implementation and sustainment of new and existing build plans that significantly impact the quality and cost performance of the program. This role will require individuals that are capable of adapting to a dynamic team with critical deliverables.
They will need to have the ability to collaborate with others both at domestic US locations and at our global partner sites while keeping a “think outside the box” mindset. Join Boeing Production Engineering in building our next generation of amazing products!
Our teams are currently hiring for a broad range of experience levels including Mid-Level and Senior Manufacturing Planners. We are looking for individuals with experience supporting Systems Interiors Airframe Doors and Landing Gears.
Primary Responsibilities- Plans and leads department/organization processes for developing implementing and maintaining various manufacturing plans Bill of Materials work instructions and illustrations to define and document as-built configuration.
- Develops and plans manufacturing concepts and strategies to support business objectives.
- Prepares build analyses and cost estimate reports.
- Leads integration of complex suppliers processes materials data and technology to meet manufacturing and delivery requirements.
- Participates in source selection to ensure manufacturing requirements are met.
- Develops complex tooling requirements based on manufacturing and engineering requirements.
- Manages tooling from initial design to end of use disposition.
- Leads investigation and resolution of complex or systemic manufacturing related issues.
- Leads teams performing producibility assessments of design concepts.
- Supports enterprise level benchmarking to incorporate best practices.
- Leads development of complex work statements and sequencing of events to support delivery commitments.
- Develops scheduling templates for use by others.
- Drafts updates and reviews processes and procedures to support business and regulatory agency requirements.
- Develops and documents new job practices techniques and standards.
The position must meet Export Control compliance requirements therefore a “US Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15 is required. “US Person” includes US Citizen lawful permanent resident refugee or asylee.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/ Experience)- 3 or more years experience in a manufacturing production environment.
- Ability to read understand and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
- 3 or more years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 5 or more years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Mid-Level: Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Associate) and typically 3 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Bachelor+1 years' related work experience 5 years' related work experience etc.).Senior:
Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Associate) and typically 6 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Bachelor+4 years' related work experience 8 years' related work experience etc.).
