Job DescriptionCoffman Engineers is seeking a talented and self‑motivated Audiovisual Designer/Consultant with two to five years of experience to join our Seattle Area team. In this role, you will provide comprehensive audiovisual consulting services—from initial feasibility studies through design, permitting, and construction support. We’re looking for someone enthusiastic about collaboration, eager to grow within a multidisciplinary environment, and ready to bring energy and creativity to every project.
This position is not eligible for sponsorship.
Qualifications- Bachelor’s degree in a technical field related to audiovisual design (Electrical Engineering, Computer Science Engineering, Architecture, etc.).
- 2–5 years of experience in acoustical consulting within the construction industry.
- Proficiency with Digital Signal Processing (preferred).
- Ability to perform audiovisual & control system programming.
- AVIXA CTS certification (preferred).
- Experience working in a multidisciplinary setting (preferred).
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively.
- Critical thinking and problem-solving skills with a collaborative mindset.
- Motivation to learn and adopt the latest technologies and practices.
- Strong time management and organizational skills.
- Ability to assist with design development and project reporting.
- Perform site visits to capture existing conditions.
- Perform modeling for sound system performance in building environments using EASE.
- Prepare technical reports and recommendations for design teams and clients.
- Collaborate with architects, engineers, and contractors to integrate audiovisual solutions.
- Support permitting and compliance documentation throughout project phases.

Expected annual salary of $80,000 - $100,000.
