Rainy Day Artistic Collective is seeking a Stage Manager for our production of Radium Girls by D.W. Gregory. This production will be directed (and sound designed) by Jack Seamus – we’re still putting together the rest of our crew.
Important Dates Performances- September 18-20 and 24-27 (seven total performances)
- Thursday, Friday and Saturday evening shows at 7pm
- Sunday matinees at 2pm
- Performances will take place at ReAct Theatre
- Stage Manager presence needed at all performances
- September 13-17 (times called: the 13th from 5-10pm and the 14th‑17th from 6-10pm)
- Tech Week will take place at our performance venue (ReAct Theatre)
- Stage Manager presence needed at all tech week rehearsals
- Sunday, Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday evenings from 7-10pm except for two Friday rehearsals at the beginning.
- First rehearsal on July 29th.
- No rehearsal from August 3rd through 6th.
- Rehearsals will be at the Theatre Puget Sound rehearsal rooms (Seattle Center) at first, then we will move rehearsals into ReAct Theatre by no later than September 6th (possibly earlier if we are able).
- We can absolutely work around a conflict or two if needed and known in advance!
- Attend and organize all scheduled rehearsals (except excused conflicts or in case of illness/emergency).
- Take and distribute rehearsal notes in the agreed upon format.
- Co‑lead and schedule production meetings.
- Lead tech week, work with ASM and booth. Prepare to call the show. Attend paper tech if needed.
- Communicate with ASM and Board Operator (if applicable) to ensure that tech runs smoothly.
- Take care of the sound laptop (it can't stay at the venue).
- Run the show during all seven performances.
- Manage the performance and rehearsal spaces – along with the ASM, ensure that props and costumes are in place and cared for properly and that the space is cleaned and organized after every performance/rehearsal.
- Sign and honor the SM contract and all cast/crew policies.
- Issue marketing related reminders to cast/crew.
- Enforce COVID policy; keep masks available; mask if needed or asked.
- Open and lock up the space at the start/end of rehearsals and performances. Make sure the space is well organized and clean. Help attend to any safety concerns promptly and responsibly.
- Lead load‑in and strike; participate as fully as possible in both events.
- Ensure rehearsal agendas are followed: keep track of breaks, help keep director "on track" in rehearsal by issuing reminders as needed and communicating with them about timing of events.

Past Stage Management (Stage Manager or ASM/Run Crew) experience is preferred, but we’re definitely open to working with a first‑time stage manager if you have some general theater experience and are willing to learn quickly as we go!
Pay Rate:
Stipend of $150 (or $225 if operating the tech table without a board operator)
