Job Description & How to Apply Below

We are looking for an experienced, well-rounded AV Technician to run the full technical program — video, audio, and lighting — for high-profile live corporate events. This is a senior, hands‑on technical role for someone who has already spent time on live event crews handling multiple disciplines, not an entry point into live event AV. You will be responsible for the technical integrity of your assigned position, such as video switching and streaming, audio setup and mixing, and/or lighting setup and operation, in environments where mistakes are visible in real time to a room full of executives and a remote audience.

This role requires a minimum of 5 years of hands‑on, in‑person, live event AV experience across multiple disciplines. Candidates without this specific live‑event background — including videographers, conference room / huddle‑room AV technicians, photographers, and post‑production editors — will not meet the requirements of this position.

Ideal Experience and Technical

  • Operation of professional live switchers, including:
Ross Video, Datavideo, Analog Way, and Blackmagic Design (ATEM) product lines.
  • Experience calling and executing live switches during multi‑camera corporate events.
  • Operation of live streaming software such as VMix (or comparable), including streaming to Teams, Zoom, and other destinations.
  • Setup and operation of PTZ cameras and video recorders.
  • Setup and operation of projectors and lenses.
  • Working knowledge of video signal flow (SDI, HDMI, fiber) and the ability to troubleshoot signal issues under show pressure.
Audio:
  • Setup and operation of live sound systems for corporate events, including speakers, amplifiers, and DSPs.
  • Basic mixing of microphones (wired, wireless, and lavalier) and program audio on a digital or analog mixing console.
  • Setup and troubleshooting of wireless microphone systems, including frequency coordination basics.
  • Understanding of audio signal flow, gain staging, and routing between sources, mixers, and reinforcement systems.
  • Ability to identify and resolve common issues such as feedback, hum, and dropouts during a live show.
  • Setup and operation of basic event lighting, including LED fixtures, up lighting, and stage/podium lighting.
  • Ability to focus, color, and program simple looks and cues for a live event using a basic lighting console or app‑based control.
  • Working knowledge of DMX signal flow and basic troubleshooting of lighting fixtures and control.
  • Ability to power and safely rig lighting fixtures per event design.
General:
  • Minimum of 5 years of live event Audio/Visual experience in an in‑person, live corporate event environment, spanning video, audio, and lighting operation (not general AV support, installation, or conference room technology).
  • Ability to read and work from technical drawings and AV system design documents across video, audio, and lighting.
Production and Event Roles:
  • Set & strike equipment as required by the design and function of the event.
  • Operate video, audio, and lighting equipment as required by the design and function of the event.

  • Serve as on‑site point of contact for all technical aspects of assigned events.
  • Communicate event objectives to contractors, venues & vendors.
  • Ensure proper storage and maintenance of A/V equipment.
  • Pickup, delivery, and return of vendor A/V equipment.
  • Ability to drive box trucks from 16 ft to 26 ft.
  • Maintain experience and training with A/V equipment, including new switcher, audio, lighting, and streaming technology.
