Overview
Addison Group is representing a growing company in the financial services and lending space in the Bellevue, WA area. The Senior Manager of Financial Reporting and Accounting who will be responsible for establishing internal financial reporting processes, monthly and quarter close, managing external audits, managing tax resources, and ensuring accurate financials according to GAAP. This role will play a key part in enhancing reporting accuracy, driving operational improvements, and contributing to the financial leadership of the company.
Key Responsibilities- Prepares and manages monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
- Leaves the external audit process, coordinating deliverables and serving as the main liaison with auditors.
- Develop internal controls, accounting policies, and maintain accounting compliance with industry regulations.
- Conducts technical accounting research and implements relevant accounting standards.
- Collaborates cross-functionally with FP&A, legal, and capital markets teams to support financial decision-making.
- Identifies and drives process improvements across reporting systems and workflows.
- Supports regulatory and investor reporting requirements, as applicable.
- Assist Controller and CFO on tax matters and partner with external tax resources and external auditors.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) required.
- Minimum 6 years of experience.
- Current or previous public accounting experience highly preferred.
- Strong exposure to real estate investment, alternative investments, mortgage, lending, or financial services industry/or clients is highly preferred.
- Solid understanding of GAAP, financial reporting, and technical accounting principles.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience with Net Suite or similar accounting systems is a plus.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
