The AWS Training & Certification (T&C) Finance team may be a great fit for you.

T&C is a 1,300+ organization that teaches millions of people annually how to better use AWS products and services, from people without a tech background seeking introductory cloud computing instruction to skilled employees at large enterprises that require the high technical proficiency. T&C develops world-class training and certification content for every product AWS offers which we deliver through AWS instructor-led training, our own digital platform, and through third party partners.

We make money by selling our own products and by creating downstream revenue, as trained customers use AWS products more than untrained ones.

As an Senior Financial Analyst, you will have single-threaded ownership of at least one of our primary businesses supporting a senior business partner. You will be responsible for collaborating with your business partner and their team to drive improvement through ongoing financial support and adhoc projects (illustrative examples: pricing, new product features, long range plans, pilots). You will also have shared responsibility for all finance controllership processes (MEC, M , OP/R&O, etc), and collaborate often with the Training & Certification finance team to drive internal improvements.

The preferred candidate is above bar in core finance leadership principles (Dive Deep, IoHS, Ownership), is highly curious, possesses strong analytic and financial modeling skills, and is customer-obsessed about business partnership. This role provides room to operate independently and is designed to bring Senior Financial Analyst talent to its potential. High performers only.

Key job responsibilities
  • Partner closely with the business to provide ongoing financial and adhoc project support
  • Contribute to all finance controllership processes (MEC, M , OP/R&O, etc)
  • Develop financial models that create business leverage and help evaluate business opportunities
  • Partner cross-functionally to drive excellence across the Global Services Finance organization
  • Lead short- and long-term financial planning processes
  • Provide strategic partnership and decision support for key business initiatives and investments
  • Establish and maintain internal controls for program spending and revenue accruals
Basic Qualifications
  • 3+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience
  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business, economics, or a related analytical field (e.g., engineering, math, computer science), or Bachelor s degree and 3+ years of quantitative role (engineering, process re-engineering, quality assurance) experience
Preferred Qualifications
  • 4+ years of participating in continuous improvement projects in your team to scale and improve controllership with measurable results experience
  • MBA, or CPA
  • Knowledge of Tableau
  • Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards)
  • 4+ years of applying key financial performance indicators (KPIs) to analyses experience
  • 4+ years of creating process improvements with automation and analysis experience
  • 4+ years of identifying, leading, and executing opportunities to improve, automate, standardize or simplify finance or business tools and processes experience

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
