A Seattle-based asset manager is seeking a Fund Accountant to own fund accounting across multiple funds. This includes coordinating monthly reporting with third-party administrators, allocations, distributions, supporting audits and tax filings, and assisting with quarterly close. The role is offering broad exposure to the full fund accounting life cycle. Hybrid structure (4 days in office)###
** Fund Accountant – Asset Manager
** An investment management firm, based in Seattle, is seeking a Fund Accountant to support day-to-day fund accounting and post-investment reporting across multiple funds. This role partners closely with fund administration, investment, and portfolio teams and plays a key role in monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting processes.
Please note this is a hybrid role in Downtown Seattle, 4 days a week in office
** Key Responsibilities
*** Manage full accounting for multiple funds
* Coordinate monthly reporting with third-party fund administrators
* Track fund expenses, invoices, and allocations across funds and management entities
* Review monthly payment and distribution reports
* Support annual audits and tax filings
* Assist with cost basis reporting and jurisdictional regulatory filings
* Manage management fee reimbursements in accordance with side letters
* Prepare distribution notices, work papers, and roll-forward schedules for quarter-end close
* Investigate and resolve accounting discrepancies in collaboration with internal teams
* Support ad hoc projects for senior management as needed
** Qualifications
* ** 4-5 years of experience in accounting or finance
* Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent
* Experience with fund accounting systems
* CPA qualified, CPA Candidate or CPA in progress is HIGHLY desirable
** Skills & Attributes
*** Strong attention to detail and accuracy
* Highly organized with strong time management and deadline management skills
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Strong reconciliation and analytical abilities
* Proficiency in Excel and Microsoft Office tools
* Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
