Finance Manager, GenAI

Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking a Finance Manager to be a key member of the AWS GenAI team. This role will own end‑to‑end finance support including P&L management and planning for Generative AI services. Additionally, this role will drive strategic new Generative AI feature launches and process improvements across the organization. The successful candidate will be able to communicate effectively, manage multiple time‑sensitive deliverables across a highly matrixed organization, and manage risks and opportunities.

The individual will also possess strong business partnership skills and collaborate effectively with key stakeholders.

• Take the lead in financial planning; build complex financial models and analytical tools to measure overall financial performance.
• Own GenAI services end to end, and influence business decisions that drive revenue and/or capital expenditures.
• Support strategic new GenAI features launches and ad‑hoc requests and assist various requests from finance and business leadership.
• Identify opportunities for efficiency improvements including automation and coordination with upstream and downstream organizations.
• Partner with finance teams across AWS to standardize, streamline, and prioritize improvements, remove roadblocks, and increase the reliability and efficiency of reporting.

• 5+ years of experience in tax, finance or a related analytical field.
• Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business, economics, or a related analytical field (e.g., engineering, math, computer science), or a Bachelor's degree with 5+ years of quantitative role experience (engineering, process re‑engineering, quality assurance).

• 6+ years of experience identifying incomplete or inaccurate data, determining the root cause, and implementing an escalation plan.
• MBA or CPA.
• Knowledge of SQL/ETL.
• 5+ years of solving complex business challenges by delivering accurate and timely financial models, analysis, and recommendations with proven impact on business (e.g., financial savings, operational improvements, or customer benefits).
• 5+ years of building financial and operational reports/data sets that inform business decision‑making.
• Experience working with large‑scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards).

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign‑on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
