This role offers an excellent opportunity to contribute your expertise in payroll systems and tax reconciliation.
Responsibilities:
- Process and manage payroll operations for employees across multiple states, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
- Reconcile payroll data with state taxes to maintain accurate records and resolve discrepancies.
- Handle union payroll requirements, including contract-specific calculations and reporting.
- Utilize People Soft and other payroll systems to streamline payroll processing.
- Collaborate with internal teams to address payroll-related inquiries and provide timely resolutions.
- Prepare and submit payroll tax filings, adhering to federal, state, and local regulations.
- Leverage Microsoft Excel for detailed payroll analysis and reporting.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of payroll laws and regulations to ensure compliance.
- Generate and analyze payroll reports to support audits and financial reviews.
- Assist in improving payroll processes and implementing best practices. Requirements - Minimum of 3 years of experience in payroll processing, including multi-state operations.
- Proficiency in handling union payroll requirements and related calculations.
- Strong knowledge of payroll tax reconciliation and compliance.
- Experience working with People Soft or similar payroll systems.
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting.
- Familiarity with federal, state, and local payroll laws and regulations.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively and communicate effectively with team members.
