The International Rescue Committee is seeking a Financial Coach for the Economic Empowerment program in the Sea Tac office. This role supports financial capability services that help clients strengthen financial knowledge, build assets, and work toward long term financial stability. The Financial Coach provides one on one coaching, facilitates workshops, manages data entry and reporting, and collaborates with IRC teams and community partners.

The position reports to the Senior Financial Coach.
** Major responsibilities
**** One on one financial coaching*
* • Teach clients about financial coaching and build a collaborative partnership
• Support clients in resolving immediate financial challenges and developing long term financial habits
• Complete financial assessments and create budgets
• Provide strategies for credit building and asset growth
• Develop action plans and connect clients to IRC and community services
• Refer clients to external financial professionals when necessary
** Outcome tracking*
* • Document client progress in Efforts to Outcome
• Complete the Combined Financial Assessment
• Update assessments when a client’s circumstances change
** Workshops*
* • Prepare and deliver workshops on budgeting, savings, credit, banking, and financial products
• Adapt workshop materials to the needs of diverse communities
** Community partnerships*
* • Maintain relationships with financial institutions to support client needs
• Build a referral network with community organizations such as housing and legal services
* Key working relationships
* Reports to the Senior Financial Coach Collaborates with the Economic Empowerment and Employment teams and other IRC Seattle staff

Engages with financial institutions, partners, and service providers
** Job requirements*
* • Relevant degree or equivalent professional or lived experience
• Knowledge of budgeting, asset building, and credit
• One or more years of experience in personal finance, banking, counseling, case management, or coaching
• Experience with low income, immigrant, or refugee communities encouraged
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to deliver culturally responsive services
• Experience with data entry and tracking in databases
• Lived experience as a refugee or immigrant preferred
• Commitment to anti racism and continuous learning
• Reliable transportation for local travel
