A prestigious, boutique Wealth Management firm in California is seeking an Associate Advisor to join their high-touch, client-centric team. This firm is known for its sophisticated approach to financial transitions, blending technical excellence with deep empathetic engagement. This is a pivotal role designed for a professional who excels at both the technical "math" of planning and the "human" element of managing life’s major shifts.
This is a remote opportunity with the expectation of travel to the Northern California office 4 to 5 time per year. Please only apply if you can commit to this travel requirement.
Primary Responsibilities1. Client Relationship Management
- Act as the primary point of contact for an existing book of high-net-worth clients, ensuring all service deliverables align with the firm’s high standards of accuracy and timeliness.
- Lead client meeting preparation: define objectives, oversee agenda accuracy, and manage the delivery of all financial materials.
- Maintain comprehensive client histories and family dynamics within the CRM to provide a personalized, seamless experience.
- Develop and implement comprehensive recommendations across the full wealth management spectrum: tax efficiency, estate planning, insurance, and investment strategy.
- Analyze complex tax returns to identify planning opportunities and assess the impact of new tax legislation on client portfolios.
- Manage portfolio alignment according to Investment Policy Statements (IPS), including assessing trade needs and overseeing execution.
- Utilize industry-leading tech stacks (including eMoney and Holistiplan
) to build financial models and track workflows.
- Contribute to firm growth by identifying expansion opportunities within the existing client base and professional networks.
- Represent the firm at networking organizations and develop "Centers of Influence" (COI) relationships.
- Master and apply our Sales methodology to qualify prospects and guide them through the conversion process.
- Collaborate on firm-wide marketing initiatives, including blog content generation and client/prospect events.
- Credentials: CFP® designation required (or must be obtained within 18 months of hire). CeFT® or CFA designations are a significant plus.
- Experience: Proven track record in a client-facing wealth management or RIA environment.
- Technical
Skills:
Proficiency in financial planning software (eMoney) and CRM systems. - Communication: Exceptional ability to present complex financial concepts confidently to sophisticated clients.
- Location: Hybrid flexibility; however, quarterly in-office presence in California is required.
