Senior Finance Manager, WW Promotions & Events

Amazon Finance drives direct impact by being a hand‑in‑hand business partner in developing, measuring, and executing on our long‑term strategy to invent on behalf of our customers. To do so, we are looking for an exceptional Senior Finance Manager to lead the WW Promotions & Events Finance team who possesses the leadership to influence, a bias for action, and the passion to think big while driving business results.

Successful candidate should be able to think and act both strategically and tactically. This individual should possess solid business judgment, strong analytical skills, attention to detail and a strong desire to dive deep into data results and problem solving. The successful candidate will lead a high‑performing team of finance managers and analysts, working closely with leadership to provide strategic guidance and decision support in this space.

This individual must be able to own the financial reporting for a business area, use solid financial knowledge and business acumen to build financial models and analyses with little guidance, draw conclusions, and make recommendations that deliver results, drive improvements, and have a global impact. They must be able to communicate data in a clear, concise, and unambiguous manner both verbally and in writing.

Key Job Responsibilities
  • Lead a high performing team of finance managers and analysts
  • Serve as financial thought leader for strategic initiatives for Amazon’s global Promotions & Events domains
  • Work closely with program managers to research, execute and analyze promotions and pricing experiments to drive long term free cash flow
  • Provide go/no‑go decision support through experimentation, statistical modeling and/or trend analysis on initiatives
  • Develop metrics reporting and audit mechanisms to measure the accuracy of newly launched programs and initiatives
  • Implement the governance structure and early warning systems needed to manage execution risk
  • Build and maintain in‑depth knowledge across key business areas by staying current on initiatives, challenges and opportunities across the business
  • Develop a framework to automate margin bridges to account for variances between plan and actuals
  • Lead financial controllership
Basic Qualifications
  • 12+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience
  • 3+ years of performing financial and ad‑hoc analysis using data reporting tools experience
  • 10+ years of positions that require analysis and reporting of financial results
  • 8+ years of applying key financial performance indicators (KPIs) to analyses experience
  • 8+ years of building financial and operational reports/data sets that inform business decision‑making experience
  • 8+ years of creating process improvements with automation and analysis experience
  • 3+ years of hiring, leading and developing teams experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics or a highly analytical field (e.g., Engineering, Math, and Computer Science)
Preferred Qualifications
  • 5+ years of hiring, leading and developing teams experience
  • 8+ years of participating in continuous improvement projects in your team to scale and improve controllership with measurable results experience
  • 8+ years of identifying incomplete or inaccurate data, identifying the root cause and creating/implementing an escalation plan experience
  • 8+ years of mentoring junior finance and/or business team members experience
  • 5+ years of working with senior staff (e.g., c‑suite) experience
  • MBA, or CPA
