The Impact Investment Analyst at Laird Norton Wetherby plays a crucial role in supporting the strategic initiatives of the Investment Team. As a member of this team, the Analyst collaborates with the Chief Impact Officer and other senior leaders to support researching and underwriting private impact investment strategies. These strategies focus on impact private equity, venture capital, and catalytic investment strategies across alternative asset classes.

This position demands strong analytical skills to source and evaluate investment opportunities and the ability to maintain domain expertise in the impact investing space. The Analyst will build and sustain strong industry relationships, contribute to portfolio and risk management, and engage with client service colleagues and external clients.

• Source and lead the diligence of impact private investment strategies.
• Conduct and complete searches and due diligence on potential investment opportunities.
• Evaluate the integration of environmental, social, and governance considerations by private capital managers.
• Compose formal investment recommendations for the PMIC.
• Collaborate with the Director, Private Equity Strategies to establish decision-making processes in private markets.
• Present quarterly reviews of investment performance.
• Assist in macroeconomic updates and client meetings.
• Produce internal investment communications and client publications.

• Minimum of 7 years of experience in private capital markets and impact investing.
• Excellent organizational and analytical skills.
• Strong communication and social skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively and navigate an organization effectively.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
• Experience with financial tools such as Morningstar Direct, Bloomberg, and Preqin is a plus.
• Knowledge of programming languages, with Python being advantageous.
• Higher degree such as an MBA or participation in the CFA program is a plus.
