Summary / ObjectiveCarrix, a Blackstone portfolio company, is seeking an analytical and driven individual to join our M&A team as a Financial Analyst
. The Financial Analyst will participate in all aspects of the Company’s M&A strategy and will report directly to the Vice President-M&A. You will liaise regularly with finance, accounting, legal and Carrix’s operating businesses to support the development and presentation of detailed financial models, insightful analyses, business cases, and due diligence for the underwriting of potential acquisitions, investments, and partnerships. The M&A and Business Development team plays a key role in critical, growth‑oriented decisions with significant exposure to senior Carrix leadership and the board of directors.
Responsibilities
- Strategic Analysis & Market Research: conduct research on market trends, industry landscapes, and potential acquisition targets; analyze competitors and relevant transaction announcements to inform M&A decision‑making.
- Financial Modeling & Valuation: create and maintain financial models and analyses, including cash flow models, operating metric benchmarking, and precedent transaction analyses to provide valuation assessments for potential acquisitions, investments, and partnerships.
- Due Diligence Support: assist in the due diligence process for potential acquisitions, coordinating with internal and external teams (legal, accounting, operational). Prepare and review key due diligence materials, identifying potential risks and opportunities.
- Transaction Execution: support the execution of multiple projects concurrently without compromising quality, plan around tight timelines, and effectively interface with business partners and other professionals. Assist with the development of transaction best practices and presentation materials.
- Stakeholder Communication: assist in preparing reports, presentations, and other communication materials for senior leadership and board meetings.
- Monitoring and Management: support the monitoring and performance tracking of the Company’s existing and new acquisitions, investments, and partnerships.

coordinate with internal constituents to ensure potential acquisitions align with and prioritize business objectives and strategy.
- Bachelor’s degree in finance or related field (accounting, economics, etc.)
- Minimum 1‑2 years of related work experience in infrastructure investment and/or investment banking
- Inquisitive self‑starter with intellectual curiosity and a strong desire to learn
- Proven ability to develop financial models independently with a high degree of accuracy
- Strong financial acumen and knowledge of valuation methodologies and debt structures
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Time‑management skills; ability to drive multiple analyses in a time‑critical, transaction‑oriented environment
- Strong interpersonal skills; able to communicate effectively to all levels of the organization
- Proficiency in data analysis tools (Excel, PowerPoint, business intelligence platforms)
- Prior maritime infrastructure investments and/or investment banking background
- Master’s degree in finance or related field (accounting, economics, etc.)
