AWS S3/Glacier Finance seeks a world‑class Senior Finance Manager for the Object Storage (S3) business. This position will serve as a strategic leader who works closely with senior leadership to drive thoughtful analysis and controllership in the S3 services space.

• Controllership & Reporting:
  Manage capital spend reporting, track KPIs, and perform variance analysis across planning, forecasting, and reporting cycles.
• Strategic Finance Leadership:
  Set and track critical business goals that are key inputs to pricing decisions across Storage and other AWS services, and contribute to driving improved AWS free cash flows.
• Financial Planning & Analysis:
  Build complex financial models and analytical tools to track overall financial performance against goals; lead OP and R&O Cap Ex planning, and weekly/monthly utilization and Cap Ex reviews with AWS senior leadership.
• Process Improvement:
  Be a thought leader to improve and simplify processes, drive standardization, and build scalable solutions to support business growth.
• Team Leadership:
  Lead a team of Finance Managers and Senior Financial Analysts; build and develop a high‑performing team capable of operating in a complex, fast‑paced, and ambiguous environment.

• 10+ years of experience in tax, finance or a related analytical field.
• 10+ years in positions requiring analysis and reporting of financial results.
• 8+ years of applying key financial performance indicators (KPIs) to analyses.
• 8+ years of building financial and operational reports/data sets that inform business decision‑making.
• 8+ years of creating process improvements with automation and analysis.
• Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field.

• 5+ years of hiring, leading, and developing teams.
• 8+ years of participating in continuous improvement projects to scale and improve controllership with measurable results.
• 8+ years of identifying incomplete or inaccurate data, root‑cause analysis, and creating/implementing an escalation plan.
• 8+ years of mentoring junior finance and/or business team members.
• 5+ years of working with senior staff (e.g., C‑suite).
• MBA, CPA, or equivalent professional credential.

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign‑on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
