Description
Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking a Finance Manager to be a key member of the AWS GenAI team. This role will own end-to-end finance support including Cap Ex management and planning for Generative AI services, drive strategic new Generative AI feature launches, and implement process improvements across the organization. The successful candidate will communicate effectively, manage multiple time-sensitive deliverables across a highly matrixed organization, manage risks and opportunities, and partner with key stakeholders to drive business results.
Key Job Responsibilities- Take the lead in financial planning; build complex financial models and analytical tools to measure overall financial performance.
- Own the GenAI services end-to-end, influencing business decisions that drive revenue and/or capital expenditures.
- Identify opportunities for efficiency improvements, including automation and coordination with upstream and downstream organizations.
- Partner with finance teams across AWS to standardize, streamline, and prioritize improvements, remove roadblocks, and increase the reliability and efficiency of reporting.
- 5+ years of experience in tax, finance, or a related analytical field.
- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business, economics or a related analytical field (e.g. engineering, math, computer science), or Bachelor's degree and 5+ years of quantitative role experience.
- Knowledge of SQL/ETL.
- MBA or CPA.
- 6+ years of applying key financial performance indicators (KPIs) to analysis.
- 6+ years of creating process improvements with automation and analysis.
- 6+ years of building financial and operational reports/data sets that guide business decisions.
- 5+ years of leading continuous improvement projects to scale controllership with measurable results.
- 5+ years of identifying incomplete or inaccurate data, determining root cause, and creating/implementing an escalation plan.
- 5+ years of solving complex business challenges by delivering accurate, timely financial models, analysis, and recommendations that have measurable impact.
- Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (e.g., SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (e.g., Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards).
- Experience delivering forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis, and interpreting results.

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign‑on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
