Tax Staff Accountant Direct Hire, Full-Time Employee

This position plays a key role in supporting domestic corporate and partnership tax functions under the supervision of a Tax Senior Accountant and Tax Manager. This role is ideal for an experienced staff-level professional with a desire to take ownership, improve processes, and contribute as a key member of a high-performing tax team. We are a leading privately held, fast-growing company, the tax team plays a critical role in supporting a complex, growing business with both domestic and international operations.
Key Responsibilities- Tax Compliance: Prepare U.S. federal, international, and state income tax compliance and reporting requirements, including Forms 1120, 1065, and 5471 using One Source Income Tax.
- Documentation: Prepare and maintain detailed work papers supporting income tax calculations, tax basis balance sheets, partnership capital accounts, and fixed asset reconciliations.
- Estimates & Extensions: Prepare quarterly income tax estimates and extensions.
- Audit Support: Assist the tax department in responding to domestic tax audits, state notices, and property tax audits.
- Financial Reporting: Support year-end income tax provision and financial reporting processes.
- Research & Planning: Assist with tax research, documentation of tax issues, and support for tax planning initiatives.
- Process Improvement: Maintain reporting templates, process controls, and dataflow/reporting automation.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting; a Master's degree and/or CPA license is high preferred.
- Experience: Minimum 23 years of income tax experience with a working knowledge of corporate and partnership income taxation at both federal and state levels.

Strong Excel proficiency is required; experience with One Source Income Tax is preferred. - Analytical
