Bank of America's Commercial Real Estate Team is seeking a Relationship Manager (RM).

Bank of America is one of the largest providers of construction, development, and permanent financing to professional developers and investors of real estate—including retail, office, industrial, lodging, and multifamily project loans—as well as entity‑level financing solutions.

This role is responsible for providing advice and valuable financial solutions to Global Commercial Banking clients and prospects. Key responsibilities include serving as the primary point of contact or trusted advisor and acquiring, deepening, and maintaining profitable relationships, collaborating with teammates, and facilitating client relationships with Product Specialists. Job expectations include having knowledge of the bank’s products and services to identify cross‑selling opportunities and increase overall client satisfaction.

Responsibilities
  • Manages an extensive portfolio of clients and prospects with annual revenues of $50 million to $2 billion and helps companies save, borrow, and invest for their current and future needs.
  • Acquires, deepens, and maintains profitable client relationships through sales, prospecting, and enhancing existing relationships.
  • Understands and interprets financial and cash flow statements to assess and analyze financial conditions of companies and industry trends.
  • Collaborates with domestic and international teammates throughout the bank, including Investment Banking, Foreign Exchange, and Wealth Management, and facilitates client relationships with Product Specialists in Credit, Treasury Management, and Merchant Services to design and deliver financial solutions.
  • Leads and facilitates dialogue with a variety of complex clients and prospects regarding topics such as the client and prospect industry, alternative capital structures, and general business issues.
  • Adapts to changes in sales practices and broader market and industry conditions as needed.
Required Qualifications
  • Must have 5+ years’ experience in commercial real‑estate project lending and Institutional Financing.
  • Demonstrated sales, marketing and leadership skills, including ability to maintain effective working relationships with underwriting partners, portfolio managers, relationship administrators, Credit Risk Manager, support staff and other associates.
  • Possess credit underwriting, presentation, negotiation, financial accounting and commercial loan underwriting skills, and understand the relationship between credit risk, structure and pricing.
  • Familiarity with interest‑rate management products, deposit, cash management and other fee‑based products is helpful. Must have excellent verbal and written skills as well as interpersonal and organizational skills.
  • Required securities licenses:
    Securities Industry Essentials (SIE), Series 7 & 63 (must obtain SIE, Series 7 & 63 within 180 days of start date).

Education Requirements

Bachelor of Business Administration in Business (Finance, Accounting, Economics, or Real Estate) is preferred or equivalent experience.

Pay and Benefits

Pay and benefits information: US – WA – Seattle – 401 Union St – Rainier Square (WA1510). Pay range $120,000 – $190,000 annualized salary, offers to be determined based on experience, education and skill set. Discretionary incentive eligible. This role is eligible to participate in the annual discretionary plan. Employees are eligible for an annual discretionary award based on overall individual performance results and behaviors, the performance and contributions of their line of business and/or group, and the overall success of the Company.
