About the Opportunity

A rapidly growing real estate investment platform is seeking a Vice President of Finance to lead and scale the company’s finance and accounting operations. This is a highly visible executive leadership position reporting directly to senior leadership and partnering closely with acquisitions, capital markets, investor relations, development, and operations teams.

The ideal candidate is both strategic and hands‑on—someone who can oversee complex accounting and finance functions while helping build systems, processes, reporting infrastructure, and teams to support continued growth.

This opportunity offers significant exposure to executive decision‑making, capital markets activity, investor reporting, and long‑term wealth creation through profit sharing and carried interest participation.

Position Overview

The Vice President of Finance will oversee all corporate, property, construction, and investment‑related finance and accounting functions. This individual will be responsible for financial reporting, FP&A, treasury management, budgeting, forecasting, tax coordination, audit oversight, and investor‑level reporting across a growing portfolio of operating entities.

The successful candidate will serve as a key business partner to leadership while ensuring financial accuracy, scalability, and operational excellence across the organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead all accounting and finance functions across corporate, property, and construction operations
  • Oversee treasury, cash management, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and internal controls
  • Ensure timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting
  • Develop and maintain scalable financial processes and reporting infrastructure
FP&A & Strategic Finance
  • Lead budgeting, forecasting, and long‑range planning initiatives
  • Partner with leadership on financial modeling and strategic decision‑making
  • Analyze business performance and identify opportunities to improve profitability and operational efficiency
  • Develop financial health metrics and KPI reporting for executive leadership
Investor & Capital Markets Reporting
  • Oversee investor‑level reporting and financial communications
  • Partner with acquisitions and capital teams to support investment strategies
  • Assist with debt reporting, lender compliance, and capital planning activities
  • Ensure accurate reporting across multiple investment vehicles and operating entities
Tax, Audit & Compliance
  • Coordinate annual audits and tax filings with external accounting firms
  • Manage entity structures, depreciation schedules, and tax allocations
  • Ensure compliance with all financial reporting requirements and accounting standards
Systems & Process Improvement
  • Maintain integrity across ERP and financial reporting systems
  • Drive process improvements and automation initiatives
  • Partner with technology teams to optimize reporting capabilities and data management
  • Hire, develop, mentor, and retain high‑performing finance and accounting professionals
  • Create accountability, structure, and career development opportunities within the organization
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field
  • 10+ years of progressive accounting and finance leadership experience
  • Real estate investment, development, private equity, owner/operator, REIT, or fund experience strongly preferred
  • Experience managing multi‑entity accounting structures
  • Strong FP&A, budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management expertise
  • Experience overseeing investor reporting and financial statement preparation
  • Demonstrated leadership experience managing accounting and finance teams
  • Strong understanding of debt structures, capital planning, and financial operations
  • Experience with Net Suite or similar ERP systems
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, or related discipline
  • Fund accounting experience
  • Capital markets and debt financing exposure

  • Experience with Power BI, Invest Next, or similar reporting platforms
