• Own end-to-end financial planning, analysis, and strategic recommendations for a high‑growth business area—including capital investments, P&L management, pricing strategy, and go‑to‑market optimization.
• Build financial models that inform multi‑billion dollar decisions across infrastructure expansion, product launches, enterprise deal structures, and generative AI investments.
• Partner directly with senior business leaders as a trusted advisor on investment priorities, resource allocation, and long‑term growth strategy.
• Develop and present insights to senior leadership through business reviews, translating complex financial data into clear, actionable recommendations.
• Influence long‑term business strategy through scenario modeling, business case development, and economic analysis.
• Work cross‑functionally with engineering, product, sales, and operations teams to translate business priorities into financial frameworks.
• Drive operational excellence and controllership across your business area, utilizing automation and AI‑powered tools to enhance financial processes and accelerate decision‑making.
• Partner with business and operations leaders to provide financial strategy and controllership for AWS’s sustainability commitments— including renewable energy investments, carbon emissions reporting, and water stewardship— ensuring financial rigor for sustainable, long‑term growth.

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, business, economics, or a related analytical field (e.g., engineering, math, computer science).
• 5+ years of experience in finance or a related analytical field.
• 5+ years of building financial and operational reports/data sets that inform business decision‑making.
• Experience delivering forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis, and data interpretation of results.
• Experience building and managing financial models for business forecasting and problem solving.
• Experience solving complex business challenges by delivering accurate and timely financial models, analysis, and recommendations that have a proven impact on business.
• Experience communicating results to senior leadership.

• MBA or CFA.
• CPA or CMA.
• 5+ years of dissecting financial data and identifying patterns that support business strategy.
• Experience delivering results for large, cross‑functional initiatives/projects.
• Experience creating process improvements with automation and analysis.
• Experience working with large‑scale data mining and reporting tools (e.g., SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (e.g., Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards).

The base salary range for this position is $95,400.00 – $ USD annually. Your Amazon package will include sign‑on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation is determined based on experience, qualifications, and location.
