A private family office is seeking a Senior Forensic Accountant to support the financial integrity and operational efficiency of a diverse portfolio of personal and operating entities. Reporting to the Controller, this individual will work independently across construction, estate management, aviation, maritime, and personal service operations to identify financial irregularities, assess risk, and uncover opportunities for cost savings and process improvement.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct ongoing forensic reviews to identify financial irregularities, inefficiencies, and opportunities for operational improvement.
  • Analyze vendor relationships, purchasing activity, contracts, and expense trends to assess compliance, detect anomalies, and recommend enhancements.
  • Develop and maintain reporting tools and dashboards to monitor financial activity and identify emerging risks.
  • Prepare clear, concise reports and presentations for the Controller and senior leadership, translating complex findings into actionable recommendations.
  • Partner with operational leaders to understand business processes and evaluate areas of financial risk.
  • Support internal investigations and special projects with professionalism, objectivity, and discretion.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting required; CPA and/or CFE strongly preferred.
  • 7–10 years of experience in forensic accounting, internal audit, or a related field.
  • Experience with construction accounting, including job costing, subcontractor oversight, and contract compliance, is highly desirable.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities independently and exercise sound judgment.
  • Exceptional analytical, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • High degree of integrity, discretion, and professionalism in handling confidential information.
  • Collaborative approach with the ability to build trusted relationships across diverse operational teams.
  • Successful completion of a comprehensive background check and reference verification.

Base salary range: $150,000–$175,000
, commensurate with experience.
