Overview
At U.S. Bank, the Premier Client Relationship Consultant role builds and maintains strong client relationships by engaging customers through in‑person, appointment, and virtual channels.
Consultants provide counsel, process customer and account information, educate clients on deposit and loan products, and recommend solutions aligned with each customer’s goals. They also originate and close consumer loans, open accounts, provide digital banking solutions, and may open or close the branch.
In addition to core Client Relationship Consultant duties, Premier Consultants hold FINRA registrations to refer clients to registered representatives in partnership with wealth‑management teams.
Responsibilities- Build relationships with customers through multiple channels.
- Assess and attend to customer banking needs while obtaining and processing account information.
- Educate clients on available deposit and loan products and services.
- Recommend solutions based on each customer’s unique goals.
- Originate and close consumer loans and open or close accounts.
- Provide digital banking solutions and support branch operations.
- Maintain FINRA registrations and refer clients to registered representatives.
- Adhere to all regulatory and compliance requirements, including NMLS registration.
Basic Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Typically five or more years of retail banking experience or equivalent training.
- FINRA Securities Industry Essentials (SIE), Series6, Series
63 or equivalent registrations. - Series7 or Series
10/11 optional but preferred. - NMLS registration under the S.A.F.E. Act of 2008 and Regulation

Experience:
- Advanced knowledge of retail product philosophy, policy, procedures, documentation, and systems.
- Advanced knowledge of all retail products and services.
- Proven customer service and interpersonal skills.
- Experience in sales campaigns/promotions.
- Experience with digital products and self‑service technologies.
- Ability to identify customers’ true needs with a digital‑first mindset.
- Basic proficiency in making proactive and reactive recommendations.
- Experience in the financial services industry is preferred.
