Job Overview
Mechanics Bank is looking for a full‑time Relationship Manager to join our team at our Seattle Administrative Office.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct financial analysis, underwriting, and structuring for prospective and existing middle‑market businesses.
- Maintain a pipeline of prospective and existing clients, focusing on acquisition and expansion of client relationships.
- Monitor loan requirements and ensure compliance with all loan covenants, conditions, and regulatory requirements.
- Prepare and present credit proposals of moderate to significant complexity, including comprehensive financial and non‑financial analyses, risk identification, mitigation strategies, and consistent structuring and pricing.
- Manage end‑to‑end processes for loan renewals and modifications.
- Engage in industry, civic, and community events to build a professional network and support the Bank’s brand awareness through marketing efforts and outreach.
- Assist clients with loan applications, credit quality assessments, and ongoing compliance monitoring.
- Travel throughout the bank’s geographic areas as required.
- Minimum of three years of experience as a Relationship Manager or similar role.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field is preferred.
- Strong financial statement and credit analysis skills.
- Proficiency in database programs, banking software, and documentation tools.
- Ability to manage multiple clients, loan requests, deadlines, prospects, networking, and cold calling.
- Critical and creative thinking skills with the ability to draw valid conclusions from complex data.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Membership in relevant trade associations or bank trade groups is preferred.
