Thrivent is looking for an Associate Financial Advisor to join Afton Union Financial Group in Seattle, WA. The role includes supporting clients through investment planning, insurance solutions, and ongoing relationship management, working closely with a Lead Advisor and collaborating on client meetings, case preparation, marketing initiatives, and community building efforts. This full-time hybrid position is open to remote candidates in the Pacific or Mountain Time zones.

Responsibilities
  • Handle sensitive communications with members/customers, which may include highly confidential information, and respond through verbal and written communications to ensure a high level of customer satisfaction
  • Facilitate and/or co‑present product‑specific seminars and/or workshops as necessary
  • Identify criteria for fund selection and track against indexes, specifically for WRAP accounts
  • Participate in business planning for the Practice as needed
  • Counsel and advise prospective and current members/customers on suitable financial products and investment advisory services
  • Open and complete product applications
  • Conduct substantive research or information gathering to support suitable securities product recommendations or appropriate investment advice (e.g., due diligence)
  • Accept and/or enter securities trade orders from customers, including unsolicited trade orders
  • Explain, discuss or interpret insurance coverage; analyze exposures or policies; provide recommendations
  • Issue certificates of insurance, endorsements, binders, commitments, or insurance contracts
  • Assist financial representatives in the preparation and follow‑up for member/customer meetings
  • Collaborate with financial representatives to assist clients with product changes
  • Participate and drive marketing services including direct‑mail, fraternal activities, seminars, meetings
  • Additional responsibilities may be assigned in accordance with licensure and business needs

Requirements
  • Securities (Series 7 and 66 or Series 7, 63 and 65) and resident state Life, Health and Annuities registration required
  • CFP preferred but not required
  • Proficiency with Money Guide Pro, Wealthscape, Morningstar and Salesforce highly desired
  • 3–5 years of experience in financial services as a licensed advisor
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and maintain a high quality of work while experiencing frequent interruptions
  • Ability to maintain integrity of sensitive/confidential information
  • Basic understanding of the sponsoring financial advisor’s products and services, and Thrivent Financial
External/Internal Dependencies
  • Must be able to work with all roles of the sponsoring financial advisor
  • Must be able to represent the organization in work with external clients
  • Must be able to cultivate and maintain relationships with outside organizations
Compensation and Benefits
  • $100,000 – $140,000 annual compensation
  • Simple IRA with employer match
  • Health benefit stipend offered

Pay Transparency. Thrivent provides a compensation range of $100,000 to $140,000 for this role.
