Responsibilities
Deliver exceptional customer service and advice across BMO’s retail banking offerings. Proactively engage with existing customers and prospects, conduct needs‑based assessments, and recommend personalized solutions in personal banking, retail investments, lending (including home financing and small business solutions), and digital self‑serve options. Facilitate customer transactions and support the branch and channel teams to achieve sales and service objectives. Apply the risk management framework to protect assets, maintain portfolio quality, and comply with lending policies and regulatory requirements.
Perform credit recommendations for personal lending transactions and resolve issues arising from credit audits and quality checks. Build new relationships within the community, generate appointments, and contribute to improving the overall customer experience. May work across multiple branches and channels with flexibility in schedule and duty locations.
- Typically 2–3 years of relevant experience and a post‑secondary degree in a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Canada only:
Registration to sell investment products completed for the applicable jurisdiction. - Appropriate lending qualifications and designations.
- Working knowledge of personal and small business customer needs and solutions.
- Working knowledge of retail investments and lending products.
- Experience in financial services is an asset.
- Proficiency with social media, tablets, smartphones, online tools, and applications.
- Experience in a consultative customer service or sales role with a drive to deliver a personal customer experience.
- Passionate commitment to helping customers and a focus on results.
- A resourceful self‑starter with courage and confidence to approach customers.
- Readiness to collaborate and work in various capacities as part of a team.
- Strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to build rapport and connections with customers.

This position will act as an originator of consumer loans as defined by Regulation Z, Regulation G, and the S.A.F.E. Act. Federal registration on the Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System and Registry will be required.
Salary range: $41,714.00 – $65,000.00 (base) with potential commission structure and performance‑based incentives. BMO Financial Group offers health insurance, tuition reimbursement, accident and life insurance, as well as retirement savings plans.
