Senior Asset Manager (Multifamily)
RETS Associates, on behalf of its client, a multifamily investment and operating platform, is seeking a Senior Asset Manager (Multifamily) to support the performance and execution of a growing multifamily portfolio. This role partners closely with senior leadership, property management, development and internal teams to drive financial performance, operational efficiency, and value creation across the portfolio. This role is located in Seattle, WA.
The Senior Asset Manager serves as the ownership representative, responsible for asset-level financial performance and long-term value creation across a multifamily portfolio of approximately 5,000 units. This role provides strategic oversight of portfolio performance, capital planning, financial management, and risk mitigation while partnering closely with Property Management and Development teams. Although not responsible for day-to-day operations, the Senior Asset Manager ensures properties are managed in alignment with underwriting assumptions, business plans, and investor return objectives.
Reporting to the Managing Director, this role plays a key part in driving portfolio performance through data-driven decision-making, strategic planning, and disciplined execution.
Key Responsibilities- Monitor monthly financial results, KPIs, and variance reporting.
- Prepare quarterly and annual portfolio performance reporting.
- Drive NOI growth, expense efficiency, and key return metrics including IRR and equity multiple.
- Develop and maintain asset-level business plans
- Lead capital planning and prioritization across the portfolio.
- Perform financial modeling for capital projects, including return and value impact analysis.
- Support refinancing, disposition, and acquisition underwriting as applicable.
- Assist with lender compliance and reporting requirements.
- Ensure compliance with ownership governance policies and reporting standards.
- Deliver insights to support leadership, board, and investor communications.
- 7–10+ years of multifamily asset management or institutional real estate experience
- Strong financial modeling and analytical capabilities
- Deep understanding of multifamily operations (4000+ units) and capital structures
- Experience overseeing third-party or affiliated property management
- Ability to synthesize financial, operational, and market data into actionable strategy
- Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree (MBA, MSRE, CPA) preferred
Compensation - Competitive benefits and 401K. Base $185k+ and discretionary bonus potential.
