Overview
The Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) Manager will be responsible for enterprise-wide budgeting, forecasting, financial planning, and performance analysis for our grocery co-op. This high visibility role is involved with all aspects of FP&A- including revenue, margins, labor, other operating costs, cash, capital expenditures and long-term financial planning. This role brings strong financial leadership experience in a multi-unit retail, grocery, or restaurant environment and understands the key drivers of a dynamic, community-focused business.
Working closely with executive leadership and cross-functional teams, the Manager will deliver insights and recommendations that support sustainable growth and informed decision-making.

MainJob Responsibilities Strategic Financial Leadership
- Lead the annual budgeting process, long-range planning, and rolling forecast to ensure alignment with business goals and market dynamics.
- Oversee enterprise-wide financial planning, including revenue forecasting, margin analysis, labor and operating expenses, cash and capital investment planning.
- Monitor and evaluate financial performance, identifying trends, risks, and opportunities. Provide actionable insights to improve profitability, efficiency, and overall financial health.
- Act as a trusted financial advisor to senior leaders across functions, including merchandising and store operations. Support business decisions with data-driven insights.
- Develop and present accurate, timely financial reports, dashboards, and KPIs to the executive team and key stakeholders.
- Translate complex financial data into clear, actionable insights through clear, relevant reporting tailored to various levels of the co-op.
- Lead financial modeling for capital investments, store openings, new initiatives, and strategic projects. Support decisions with robust ROI and scenario analyses.
- Enhance FP&A tools, systems, and workflows to improve forecasting accuracy, efficiency, and scalability. Drive process improvements across the finance function.
- Lead, mentor, and develop high-performing Financial Analysts. Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Bachelor’s degree in business, Accounting, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 6 years of experience in financial planning and analysis.
- 2-4 years of leadership experience in a senior FP&A role with direct reports in a multi-unit retail, grocery, or restaurant environment.
- Proficiency in Excel and advanced financial modeling skills.
- Working knowledge of Power BI or similar business intelligence tools.
- Strong analytical, strategic thinking, and problem-solving skills.
- Effective communication and presentation abilities; capable of translating complex financial data for non-financial audiences.
- Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional initiatives and influence executive-level decision-making.

Work occurs in an office, a variety of off-site environments and in a grocery store environment which includes surfaces that can be wet and slippery, moderate noise level, and temperature extremes in controlled environments in the cooler and freezer, and depending on location, working outside in all temperatures. CompensationSalary Range: $120,000-$140,000/year, depending on experience. Bonus eligible.
