Finance Manager, AWS Search, Security, and Observability (SSO) Finance

Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking a Finance Manager to be a key member of the AWS Search, Security, and Observability (SSO) Finance team. This role will own end‑to‑end finance support, including P&L management and planning for AWS SSO services. It will also drive strategic new SSO feature launches and process improvements across the organization. The successful candidate will communicate effectively, manage multiple and time‑sensitive deliverables across a highly matrixed organization, and manage risks and opportunities.
They will have strong business partnership skills and collaborate effectively with key stakeholders.
- Lead financial planning; build complex financial models and analytical tools to measure overall financial performance
- Own services end‑to‑end revenue creation, influencing business decisions that drive pipeline creation and realization
- Identify opportunities for efficiency improvements, including automation and coordination with upstream and downstream organizations
- Partner with finance, business, and sales teams across AWS to standardize, streamline, and prioritize improvements, remove roadblocks, and increase the reliability and efficiency of reporting
- 5+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience
- Bachelor's degree
- 5+ years of applying key financial performance indicators (KPIs) to analyses
- 5+ years of building financial and operational reports/data sets that inform business decision‑making
- 5+ years of creating process improvements with automation and analysis
- 6+ years of identifying incomplete or inaccurate data, determining root cause and implementing an escalation plan
- 6+ years of solving complex business challenges by delivering accurate and timely financial models, analysis, and recommendations with proven impact (e.g., financial savings, operational improvements, or customer benefits)
- MBA, CPA, or equivalent professional certification
- Knowledge of SQL/ETL
- Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (e.g., SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and financial systems (e.g., Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards)
- Experience delivering forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis, and interpreting results
The base salary range for this position is 95,400.00 – USD annually. Your Amazon package will include sign‑on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on experience, qualifications, and location.
