Key job responsibilities

- Manage consolidated monthly reporting of actuals for Amazon Music, ensuring accuracy and completeness by extracting data and cross-checking against published sources

- Lead regular planning cycles including quarterly guidance and operating plan mechanisms, partnering with the finance team to deliver timely and comprehensive analysis

- Build financial reports and models that inform business decision-making, applying financial and business key performance indicators to support strategic recommendations

- Analyze complex financial data to identify trends and insights, drawing conclusions that help leadership understand Music business performance and make informed decisions

- Drive process improvements and automation initiatives to enhance controllership and reporting efficiency, creating documentation to support knowledge transfer across the team

A day in the life

You'll collaborate daily with the entire Amazon Music finance team to understand business performance and emerging trends. Your mornings might involve preparing financial reports for leadership review, while afternoons are spent partnering with Vice President-level stakeholders to discuss findings and implications. You'll dive into data analysis, create compelling financial narratives, and participate in planning discussions that shape the future of Amazon Music.

Basic Qualifications

- 1+ years of finance experience

- 1+ years of applying key financial performance indicators (KPIs) to analyses experience

- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics or a highly analytical field (e.g., Engineering, Math, and Computer Science)

- Knowledge of standard software including Excel, Access, Oracle, Essbase, SQL and VBA skills

- Experience using data to influence business decisions

- 1+ years of experience in corporate finance including budgeting/planning, forecasting and reporting

Preferred Qualifications

- 2+ years of participating in continuous improvement projects in your team to scale and improve controllership with measurable results experience

- Experience in TM1, Data Warehouse and SQL
