Role Overview This position involves preparing required tax filings and assisting with tax research, projects, planning, and audits. The objective is to ensure compliance with tax laws and to minimize overall tax liabilities for the organization.

Key Responsibilities
* Balance daily payments and process and reconcile stock.
* Respond to inquiries and cases and manage the team inbox.
* Perform audit work, including analyzing large amounts of data.
* Update tax authorities for records and ensure compliance.
* Drive the implementation of broader payroll tax process improvements.
* Make recommendations based on payroll tax expertise and industry trends.
* Identify, troubleshoot, and implement solutions for issues within payroll tax processes.
* Provide consultation and propose updates to processes due to business or legislative changes.

Required Qualifications
*
* Experience:

** 3+ years of experience in tax accounting. Candidates must have at least 2 years of experience in each of the following areas:
* Payroll tax experience, including payments, reconciliations, and filings.
* Tax compliance software and supporting database tools (such as SAP, Success Factors, ADP, ECP).
** Technical

Skills:

*** Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
* Proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite (e.g., Word).
* Knowledge of tax compliance software and supporting database tools.

Preferred Qualifications
* Experience with multi-state and provincial tax reporting and filing.
* Experience in federal, state, local, and provincial labor law.
* Proven analytical and problem-solving skills.
* Customer service experience.
* Ability to identify and collaborate on process efficiencies.
