Zillow seeks a Mortgage Loan Officer to guide borrowers through the home financing process across our real estate marketplace. You will consult with leads, assess borrower needs, pre-qualify applicants, and recommend loan products that align with guidelines and financial goals. Responsibilities include managing a pipeline from application to close, explaining terms and disclosures, collecting and verifying documentation, collaborating with underwriting, real estate partners, and customer support, and ensuring compliance with lending regulations.
You'll leverage Zillow's data, tools, and flexible, collaborative culture to deliver an exceptional digital-first customer experience.
Responsibilities
- Consult with borrowers and leads to understand home financing needs
- Pre-qualify applicants and recommend appropriate mortgage products
- Manage loan pipeline from application through closing
- Explain loan terms, rates, disclosures, and fees clearly to customers
- Collect, review, and verify income, asset, and credit documentation
- Partner with underwriting, processing, and real estate teams to resolve issues
- Ensure all loans comply with federal, state, and investor regulations
- Leverage Zillow tools, data, and CRM systems to track and nurture borrowers
- Maintain accurate records and report on pipeline and conversion metrics
- Contribute feedback to improve digital lending experiences and workflows
