Senior Program Coordinator, Nutrition​/Global

The Senior Program Coordinator sits on the Strategy, Planning and Management team and supports investments across the Nutrition Program Strategy Team. We are seeking someone who is comfortable with ambiguity, flexible, and energized by taking on new areas of work.

You will coordinate, develop, and manage a portfolio of investments, including the implementation and maintenance of activities throughout the lifecycle of grants and contracts. You will partner closely with Program Officers and Grants and Contract Services while supporting budget planning, financial analysis, financial reporting, portfolio management, and operational processes.

You will also serve as a primary investment-process contact for grantee and vendor initiation, reporting, and closure, while coordinating across multiple internal teams throughout the investment lifecycle.

This temporary Senior Program Coordinator role will support a significant portfolio of investments for the Nutrition Data and R&D teams. The assignment also includes consolidated portfolio-level reporting for leadership and ownership of CRM and annual-planning processes for the Nutrition portfolio.

Because this is a six-month interim assignment, you will need to onboard quickly, prioritize independently, and leave the portfolio well documented for the team at the end of the assignment.

• Act as a subject matter authority on investment tools, systems, and templates, and provide training and coaching to program-team members and external partners when needed.
• Partner with investment makers by supporting the development, management, and maintenance of a portfolio of investments.
• Perform initial investment due diligence, including collecting portfolio data, identifying trends, and managing timelines.
• Conduct portfolio analysis, identify risks, provide perspective on portfolio performance, and deliver detailed readouts to leadership.
• Build and maintain consolidated portfolio dashboards and readouts that translate individual investment data into a clear view of overall Nutrition portfolio health for program and Foundation leadership.
• Lead CRM administration for the Nutrition portfolio, including data quality, training, troubleshooting, and process support.
• Coordinate the team’s annual-planning activities, including forecasting, budget cycles, and recurring portfolio reviews.
• Provide in-depth project-management support to investment teams, including tracking timelines, deliverables, communications, and change-management activities.
• Support the development of nontechnical project frameworks and contribute to special projects.
• Build and maintain relationships with key internal and external stakeholders, including grantees, partners, Finance, Legal, and Grants and Contract Services.
• Lead implementation and change efforts for the team, including developing new processes, sharing standard practices, analyzing workloads, and providing business updates.
• Maintain file organization, team sites, data, records, and systems for tracking, monitoring, and prioritizing tasks and projects.
• Support an inclusive culture by modeling collaborative behaviors and raising issues in a timely manner with the appropriate partners.

• A bachelor’s degree or equivalent demonstrated experience, preferably in business administration or program management.
• Experience in project management, portfolio management, financial reporting, nonprofit work, or a related industry.
• Practical understanding of the investment lifecycle and related rules, mechanisms, regulations, policies, processes, and practices.
• Experience building portfolio-level reports or dashboards.
