Career Overview and Responsibilities

Noa Net is seeking an experienced Director of Public Safety to lead and grow our public safety and NG911 initiatives. This role is responsible for ensuring the reliability and resiliency of critical communications services while strengthening strategic partnerships with public safety agencies, PSAPs, and state and federal stakeholders.

The Director of Public Safety serves as Noa Net’s senior public safety leader and trusted advisor, blending operational leadership, regulatory oversight, and business development to support both mission‑critical services and long‑term organizational growth.

Key Responsibilities Public Safety Leadership & External Engagement
  • Serve as Noa Net’s primary liaison to PSAPs, emergency management, law enforcement, fire, EMS, and public‑sector partners.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with state and federal agencies, including the Washington State 911 Office and emergency management organizations.
  • Represent Noa Net in public safety forums, NG911 advisory groups, and federal work groups.
Strategic Partnerships & Business Development
  • Identify opportunities for new or expanded public safety services and strategic partnerships.
  • Support contract renewals, service enhancements, new service deployments and NG911 transition initiatives.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to agencies navigating public safety network modernization.
Network Resiliency & Operational Alignment
  • Provide input into public safety network architecture, resiliency, and risk mitigation.
  • Partner with Operations, Engineering, the NOC, and Field Engineering to ensure public safety services are prioritized and protected.
  • Champion continuous improvement in redundancy, failover, and disaster preparedness.
Incident & Disaster Leadership
  • Lead coordination during major incidents impacting public safety services.
  • Serve as liaison to public safety entities during major incidents.
  • Oversee post‑incident reviews and corrective action planning.
Regulatory, Compliance & Funding Oversight
  • Ensure compliance with public safety, NG911, and public‑sector regulatory requirements.
  • Provide oversight of SLAs, contracts, and CJIS compliance.
  • Identify and support grant opportunities (state and federal) aligned with public safety initiatives.
Requirements – Skills & Abilities;
Experience, Education & Certifications Experience – Required
  • 7+ years of experience in public safety, emergency management, telecommunications, or critical infrastructure.
  • Demonstrated experience working with PSAPs and public‑sector agencies.
  • Strong incident management and cross‑functional leadership skills.
  • Excellent communication skills with both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
Preferred
  • Experience with NG911 networks.
  • Familiarity with public‑sector contracts, SLAs, and regulatory compliance.
  • Experience in broadband, fiber, or utility network environments.
  • ICS training or certification.
Experience, Education & Certifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Technology or related equivalent experience.
  • Prior experience as a senior technology executive in a complex, growth‑oriented organization preferred; experience with public‑private cooperative arrangements is beneficial.
Salary / Benefits
  • $125,000‑$174,000. Salary Based on Experience
