Interpreter Services Coordinator
- 20 hours per week

PrimaryJob Responsibilities
- Coordinate interpreter scheduling for patients with Limited English Proficiency (LEP), as well as those who are Deaf, Deafblind, or Hard of Hearing
- Collaborate with interpreters to conduct rounds on inpatient units, ensuring effective communication and language access for patients
- Manage and fulfill interpreter service requests, confirming details with the originating clinic, unit, or department
- Efficiently handle high volumes of detailed information within tight time frames
- Develop and distribute daily schedules for staff interpreters
- Facilitate interpreter services through external agencies, telephonic platforms, and video systems, while promptly addressing urgent same-day requests for in-person interpretation
- Safeguard sensitive information, including medical and financial data, in all formats—printed, electronic, and verbal
- Review and reconcile vendor invoices, investigate discrepancies, and coordinate timely payments
- Participate in departmental meetings and professional conferences
- Oversee inventory and ordering of supplies, and ensure proper maintenance of office equipment
- Provide general administrative support as needed
- High school graduation or equivalent AND two years of experience in a healthcare or administrative role.
- Equivalent education and/or experience may substitute for minimum qualifications except when there are legal requirements, such as a license, certification, and/or registration.
Pay Range Minimum: $22.94 hourly
Pay Range Maximum: $32.81 hourly
Shift: First Shift (United States of America)
Temporary or Regular?: This is a regular position
FTE (Full-Time Equivalent): 50.00%
Union/Bargaining Unit: SEIU Local 925 Nonsupervisory
