Social Services Coordinator
The Department of Community and Human Services values diverse perspectives and life experiences. The Adult Services Division (ASD) seeks to fill one Career Service and two Term Limited Temporary positions with an anticipated duration of twelve (12) months within its King County Veterans Program (KCVP) for a Social Services Coordinator.
This position will provide general program support to include initial client triage, assistance with establishing program eligibility and program enrollment (for internal and external services), assessment lab support of employment and vocational needs, referrals, and linkages to existing programs throughout King County, and outreach to community partners. These positions will work with case managers and other team members to support veterans to gain the necessary supports to thrive in King County.
Veterans may present with a variety of needs, from stabilization to access and navigation of services, the Social Services Coordinator will work closely with internal and community partners to provide resources and support to our Veterans, with the goal of helping veterans, service members and their families achieve their greatest potential.
This selection process may also be used to create a pool of candidates for current and future career service, term-limited-temporary, and special duty opportunities. The pool will be active for 6 months.

This is a direct service position and is scheduled to work 40 hours per week, Monday - Friday, 8am - 5 pm, in the office. The incumbent will be required to work out of both offices in Tukwila (645 Andover Park W 1 st Floor Tukwila, WA 98188) and Northgate (Northgate Executive Center II, 9725 3rd Ave NE, Suite 300, Seattle, WA 98115), with a focus on the Northgate office.
This position meets the provisions of the Fair Labor Standards Act and is overtime eligible with supervisory pre-approval. This position is not represented by a union.
This position has been designated Mission Critical. Unless otherwise directed by the County Executive, department director or agency head, all employees, regardless of designation, are expected to report to work or request leave during an emergency or inclement weather.
