The WA State Department of Corrections (DOC) is INTERNALLY recruiting to fill one full-time, non-permanent Corrections and Custody Officer 2 (CO2) position within the Community Corrections Division. This position works for the Western Washington Workcrew Unit 282 located at the 1550 4th Ave S. Seattle, WA 98134. This non-permanent appointment is expected to last about six months.
The CO2 supervises individuals who are performing community restitution (work crew/community service) and will be responsible for safety and security, directing and monitoring work, and the direct supervision of supervised individuals performing general labor tasks in the community. This position will work in a team environment that consists of a Workcrew Program Manager (PM), Community Corrections Supervisor (CCS), Community Corrections Officers (CCOs), Corrections Officers (COs), and Office Assistant 3s (OA3s).
Note:
This position has the option to be armed; the completion of CCD firearms academy training is required to carry a department-issued firearm. Shift hours are straight 8s:
