Division Systems Administrator (Administrator II)

Are you collaborative and detail-oriented with a passion for providing administrative and human resources support to diverse teams and programs? If so, Public Health – Seattle & King County Environmental Health Services Division is seeking a Division Systems Administrator (Administrator II) to join its team!

Our ideal candidate will bring strong organizational skills and a people-centered approach to ensure systems such as hiring, procurement, and fleet management support the operational needs of staff and provide professional and responsive customer service.

This position will work closely with Environmental Health Services Division programs primarily serving as the liaison to Public Health Human Resources and supporting other administrative responsibilities. A major area of responsibility includes being the central point-of-contact for supervisors, managers, and human resources for position management. This role coordinates hiring process activities and provides day-to-day support for EHS Division program position management.

Other areas of responsibility include procurement and serving as a procurement card holder, coordination of fleet activities, coordination of building/facilities related work orders, and coordination of public records and information requests. This position reports to the Deputy Director of Environmental Health Services.

Note:

This recruitment will be used to create an eligibility pool to fill additional Career Service, Term-Limited Temporary (TLT), or Special Duty Assignment (SDA) vacancies that may occur over the next six months.

Through the work of over 190 dedicated employees, the Environmental Health Services Division promotes healthy and equitable environmental conditions and prevents disease through sanitation, safe food, air, and water, and reduction of exposure to hazardous materials. In addition to permitting and inspecting public pools, spas, pet businesses, plumbing installations, on-site septic systems, and solid waste facilities, the division also works in partnership with community to address unhealthy environmental conditions and leads the department’s climate change efforts.
