Description
Odessa Brown Children’s Clinic (OBCC) has locations in Othello and the Central District. Services at the clinics include pediatric medical care, behavioral health, dental services, nutrition, sports medicine, physical therapy, occupational therapy and more. Since 1970, OBCC has worked to uphold the vision of community organizer Odessa Brown: to bring quality healthcare with dignity to children from birth to young adulthood in the Central District and south Seattle.
We’re seeking an Advanced Practice Provider (Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner) to join our dynamic and mission-driven pediatric team, serving a vibrant and diverse patient population.
In this role, you'll develop and maintain a robust primary care pediatric practice that supports families from a wide range of cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds—many of whom are low-income, non-English speaking, and medically complex. A significant portion of the children and families you care for will require thoughtful care coordination within a well-established, team-based medical home model.
The schedule for this position is 8-hour days, Monday through Friday, with occasional Saturday commitments. In addition to clinic responsibilities, there are opportunities to participate in vaccine clinics and other community-based activities that further support the health and well-being of the children and families we serve.
We’re looking for a compassionate provider who thrives in a collaborative, fast-paced environment and is committed to health equity. Strong communication skills and cultural humility are essential. Near-native fluency in a second language is highly desirable and considered a positive factor in our selection process.
What You’ll Do:
- Deliver comprehensive primary care to pediatric patients across a wide spectrum of needs
- Coordinate care for children with complex medical conditions
- Work closely with a multidisciplinary team in a mature medical home environment
- Participate in vaccine clinics and community outreach initiatives
- Serve as a trusted partner and advocate for patients and their families

Active, unencumbered registered nurse and advanced registered nurse practitioner licensure in the State of Washington.
Current national certification as a pediatric or family nurse practitioner

Active clinical privileges as an Allied Health Provider at Seattle Children's Hospital must be secured prior to time of hire and must be maintained in good standing and in compliance with all medical staff bylaws, continuously throughout employment.
Any and all medical or allied health professional staff privileges at Children's will terminate automatically upon the termination of the individual's employment at Children's.
