- ** Job Description****$2,000 Sign-On Bonus for eligible full-time and part-time new employees joining UW Medicine
**** UW Medical Center-Montlake Environmental Services
** has an opportunity for a evening shift
** Hospital Custodians.
**** WORK SCHEDULE
*** 100% FTE (40 hours per week)
* Evening shift, 3:00pm-11:00pm - Rotating every other weekend.
** POSITION HIGHLIGHTS
** Maintaining cleanliness and care of facilities in inpatient and non-patient areas and administrative offices as assigned
** PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
*** Cleans and disinfects all furniture, fixtures, and equipment according to procedure
* Removes and properly handles soiled linen; disinfects and remakes beds in patient rooms; dust and wet mops hard floors with disinfectant
* Performs blood borne pathogen and chemical spill containment and clean-up according to procedure
* Strips, cleans, buffs, and applies finish to floors. Uses high speed floor buffers, polishers, and automated floors scrubbers
* Performs in between case cleaning and terminal cleaning of surgical, obstetrical, and invasive procedure rooms including flood mopping and disinfecting according to procedure
* Vacuums and spot clean carpets; operates automated carpet shampooers and extractors
* Performs cleaning and related activities in areas within a reasonable distance outside of the facility using hand-operated tools or small power equipment to remove snow or debris, and sweep sidewalks or stairs
* Complies with safety policies and procedures and medical center emergency and disaster procedures

**** Pay Range Minimum:**$45,432.00 annual
** Pay Range Maximum:**$61,152.00 annual
