- Previous experience working in a physician’s office or hospital billing department.

- Greet and register patients upon arrival, collecting and verifying personal and insurance information accurately.
- Process patient billing and payments, including co-pays and outstanding balances, while maintaining confidentiality and compliance with healthcare regulations.
- Coordinate with physicians’ offices and hospital billing departments to ensure accurate and timely submission of claims.
- Utilize medical terminology and insurance knowledge to explain billing statements and resolve patient inquiries effectively.
- Operate office equipment such as fax machines to transmit and receive necessary documentation securely and efficiently.
