Overview
Medical Assistant - Certified (MA-C). This recruitment offers a $5,000 signing bonus to eligible new employees joining UW Medicine.
Harborview Adult Medicine Clinic has an outstanding opportunity for a Medical Assistant - Certified (MA-C). The work schedule is full-time, 100% FTE (40 hours per week), Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM–5:30 PM, Day Shift.

Job Responsibilities
- Room patients, take vital signs, and reconcile records
- Perform injections
- Prepare and clean exam rooms
- Submit medication prior authorizations
- Recognize symptoms of common medical illnesses and accurately report to provider
- Act as a liaison between patient, patient’s family and providers
- Assist provider with procedures and medical exams
- Perform point-of-care testing and report abnormal laboratory values
- Assist in transporting patients as required
- Completion of a Medical Assistant course accredited by CAAHEP or ABHES or other recognized regional or national accreditation board OR equivalent
- Must be Washington State Medical Assistant-Certified or achieve this designation within 6 months of hire. Failure to achieve and/or maintain this designation will result in termination of employment
- Valid American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Provider CPR card

Pay Range Minimum: $57,648.00 annual
Pay Range Maximum: $82,476.00 annual
Other Compensation: $5,000 sign on bonus
