** Job Description
**** The Department of Neurological Surgery has an outstanding opportunity for a Research Coordinator 3 to join their team.
** The Research Coordinator 3 reports to the Principal Investigator but requires the ability to work independently and as a collaborative team member. The position requires interaction with Principal Investigator, Project Director, Program Manager, physicians, other health care personnel (e.g., nurses, patient care coordinators), fiscal staff, and administrators. The Research Coordinator will also interact with IHS staff for scheduling meetings, trainings, and webinar sessions.
In addition, the position will leverage the applicant’s prior research or training experience to maintain regulatory and administrative files, team travel, and database management. This position provides the incredible opportunity to be part of a national training program designed to transform Indian Health Service’s (IHS) systems and clinical and community health staff practices by embracing a person-centered care approach for people with dementia and their caregivers.
** DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
***** 60% Clinical Training Support
**** Partner with investigators, research teams, and IHS, tribal, and urban clinical facilities from across the country to provide administrative support for the workforce development program and its clinical participants.
* Support materials development (e.g., resource guides, job aids, presentations, videos) for clinical training sessions.
* Assist with the development and ongoing regulatory and administrative maintenance of continuing education materials (e.g., applications, evaluation documents, reports, databases).
* Support project database management, including data entry, cleanup/editing, and reporting.
* Support TRIAD team travel, coordinating travel arrangements and itineraries with external agencies or contacts following University of Washington and departmental policies.
* Prepare and complete travel expense reports and personnel forms applicable to the assigned department or organizational unit for TRIAD team members who travel.
* Establish and manage departmental files and record keeping systems in accordance with established record retention cycles and in collaboration with the project director and program manager.
* Review and assess content of documents and data for accuracy following University of Washington and Indian Health Service style guides and policies, and departmental guidelines and policies. Initiate corrections as necessary.
* Schedule meetings, maintain multiple calendars, coordinate venues, take minutes of meetings, edit, and summarize minutes for distribution.
* Contribute to creation and design of social media, website, and marketing materials and assets, collaborating with TRIAD team members, contract staff, and IHS units.
* Identify potential challenges and suggest appropriate courses of action in a timely manner and forward concerns and solutions to training leadership as appropriate.
*** 30% Project Management
**** Contribute to data analysis and reporting.
* Monitor program activities in relation to established program goals; within established program parameters, determine variance from program standards.
* Contribute to monthly, quarterly, and annual reports.
* Assist in developing TRIAD Standard Operating Procedures to meet project milestones and established deliverable timelines.
* Assist with implementation and refinement of quality control Standard Operating Procedures to meet IHS quality standards.
* Identify and troubleshoot situations throughout the training rollout and implementation for successful outcomes.
* Assist with vendor and subject matter expert payments and storyteller gift cards as directed by the Principal Investigator.

***** MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
*** Bachelor’s degree in public health, social work, health sciences or related field and 4 years of relevant experience
* Equivalent education and/or experience may substitute for minimum qualifications except when there are legal requirements, such as a license, certification, and/or registration.
