Job Description
We are offering a $5,000 signing bonus to eligible new employees who join UW Medicine.
PositionMedical Assistant – Certified (MA‑C)
Work Schedule- Full‑time, 100% FTE (40 hours per week)
- Day shift (First Shift)
UW Medicine Primary Care at Ravenna provides personalized care for every stage of life, located on 25th Ave. NE, just west of University Village. We offer routine checkups, chronic condition management, and treatment for illnesses or injuries.

Job Responsibilities
- Room patients, take vital signs, and reconcile records
- Perform injections
- Prepare and clean exam rooms
- Submit medication prior authorizations
- Recognize symptoms of common medical illnesses and accurately report to provider
- Act as a liaison between patient, patient’s family and providers
- Assist provider with procedures and medical exams
- Perform point‑of‑care testing and report abnormal laboratory values
- Assist in transporting patients as required
- Completion of a Medical Assistant course accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP), Accrediting Bureau of Health Education Schools (ABHES), or another recognized regional or national accreditation board (or equivalent).
- Must be a Washington State Medical Assistant‑Certified or achieve this designation within six months of hire. Failure to obtain and/or maintain this designation will result in termination of employment.
- Valid American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Provider CPR card.
Pay range: $28.00–$40.06 per hour
Signing bonus: $5,000
