DescriptionAs a cross‑trained Medical Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting the daily operations of the medical office. You will be cross‑trained to assist both in clinical tasks and at the front desk, ensuring smooth and efficient workflow. Your responsibilities will include providing clinical and administrative support, assisting with patient care management, and facilitating effective communication between patients and providers.
The goal is to deliver high‑quality service, complete all tasks accurately, and maintain timely, organized operations. This role will travel to both Seattle and Everett locations as needed.
- Interview patients and document basic medical history
- Organize and schedule appointments
- Update and file medical records and insurance reports
- Arrange hospital admissions and laboratory services
- Check with patients and type up patient charts
- Assist during medical examinations
- Produce and distribute correspondence memos, letters, faxes, and forms
- Handle receivable and payable accounts and keep financial records
- Prepare and clean treatment rooms and medical instruments
- Proven working experience as a medical assistant or medical secretary
- Knowledge of medical office management systems and procedures
- Excellent time‑management skills and ability to multi‑task and prioritize work
- Social perceptiveness and service‑oriented attitude
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organizational and planning skills
- Proficiency in MS Office and patient management software
- Degree in medical assistance
- Certification from an approved medical assistant program preferred, or equivalent combination of training
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Current American Heart Association CPR certification preferred
- Willing to register with Washington state
- EMR experience;
Athena experience is a plus
- 8‑hour shift
